Successful fuel pilot with HVO100

In cooperation with the Swedish supermarket chain ICA AB, NVO Transport from Zuidbroek concluded a successful pilot period of driving on HVO100. HVO100 is made from waste products of vegetable oils, such as deep-frying fat, and is a complete alternative to Euro 6 fuel.

It enables NVO Transport to provide an environmentally friendly ‘door-to-door’ alternative to multimodal transport. The CO2 reduction amounts to more than 90%. It is possible to provide sustainable deliveries to any destination in Sweden within 48 hours. NVO Transport already drives 100% fossil-free to Sweden and back for ICA AB on a daily basis.

NVO Transport is working on an accelerated environmental transition. Its 4,500 m2 warehouse for temperature-controlled storage and transshipment is also 100% CO2 neutral. This is achieved by using 418,000 kWh of self-generated solar power.
